Lambster has a spectacular aura aboutLambster has a spectacular aura about
Default Hiawassi River trip ( Tenn. )

It was good to get out with my other guides to fish up in Tenn. on the Hiawasee River, water was crystal clear with a 30% chance of thunder storms in the afternoon hours. I haven't fished these waters in about 9 yrs. plus haven't rowed the Driftboat in 4 months which made it interesting! These tailwaters are located up
in Relience Tenn. which is about 81 miles from our home base which is being rebuilt as we speak! This river holds trout in the upper section as well in the lower section which also has warm water species of small mouth, stripers, gar, sunfish........ we put some trout in the boat as well as some smallies and a red eye coosa bass! This is a very scenic river with large hardwoods that line the banks with large stacked rock along the edges of the river. Now the river bottom has a strange color of black rock with a touch of orange plus some large limestone stretches across the river bottom. As we headed down the river toward our get out point we ran into a bad thunderstorm which we saw heading right at us, we brought the boat ashore and boy did it cut loose! We had lighting and lould cracks of thunder over us for about a half hour, Lambster and Bugmister didn't bring a raincoat.... so we got pretty wet! The river edges got muddy pretty good because it rained pretty hard, we were only 1 mile from patty's bridge which was our get out point. This is a all day trip so pack a lunch! Will post some photo's later! Tight Lines!
