This is an amazing thread, it is taking me forever to get thru it because I keep having to wipe the drool off of my phone. All my streams have gills and smallmouth.

From last weekend, you can't see from the glare but in that little run in line with the first ferrule is an absolute beast of a trout.

First post here ...

I discovered yesterday that my pond, which is fed and drained by a stream about a foot wide and three inches deep, has been colonized by wild brook trout. Largest I've caught so far was a fat female about 9", taken on a soft brown hackle peacock fished wet. Prettiest was a 7" male decked out in full vivid spawning colors.

This could not have happened to anybody who would appreciate it more.

This thread is just what I needed to see. Fall is here and the Albies will be moving out soon. Although I do spend a LOT of time striper fishing this time of year, once the leaves change it is hard to not rather be deep in the woods along a small creek. I will hopefully have lots of stories and pictures to share here in the near future!

I scratched my small stream trout itch today, and it was GOOOOOOD. I took a bunch of pictures but im too tired to post them tonight, I'll throw em up tomorrow. I caught a rainbow on about every other cast. I brought probably 30+ of them to hand, and had another 2 dozen fall off from over zelious hooksets. ha.
