That was cool! You never see anyone standing up using a push pole in a river. That old guy looked like he knew what he was doing.

Very, very cool video!!! I spent 3 hours looking around at all the different fishing videos. I especially liked the "That's Fishing" Irish show.

Love that site.... I have fished the river as well as a teen... all the guides there and some over here in northern Maine use nothing but a pole.... ever!!!!

I'm originally from South Louisiana and we used push poles a lot in the marsh.
We also used Pirog's and not canoes.

I think it's an Acadian thing........ see they came from here and turned it to cajun..... down there.
