Default Finally, my first brookie

In a small, unnamed Arizona creek that nobody tells anybody about.

Not the most productive day for me. I caught one and lost one. My buddy caught 4 and lost 5. I didn't realize till we were walking out that the fish were hiding under the bank we were walking. He was standing back and casting, I was walking too close and kept scaring them out and away.

Anyway, at least I caught my first brookie.

Brookies are great fish, and those are some beauties. Pretty stream too. I love little creeks like that.

Oddly beautiful how the trees are away from the stream. Great photos and congratulations on your first brookie.

Dave

It actually got a lot more crowded further down stream but I forgot to take pictures down there.

The trees were closer, the other plants (ferns and some tall flowering plants I don't know) along shore were taller and it got very rocky.

The amazing thing is that brook trout have not been stocked here in AZ except for a couple lakes a long way from this creek in a long time.
