Those are some beautiful looking fish, great color.

I'll be fishing the main stem of the Delaware tomorrow, a lot of ice drift coming down it today though.

only been there twice, what a place!
Might have to drive out to Basalt for a long weekend soon.

Don't go on a weekend! Even during the week, it's super busy. If you can get there just at sun up, you will be able to have your pick of spots. The toilet bowl, the flats, the bend hole, or even baetis bridge. But obviously the bigger fish are closer to the bowl. I have details on my last 2 trips in my blog.

The parking lots were almost full by 10:00 AM so get there early! It shouldn't be a problem getting up early though...the thoughts of huge fish will get you up early!
