Hi Cliff,

Back in the 50's I use to backpack into the Sierra's and catch Golden Trout. They were just gorgeous and loved flies.

Those are some cool looking fish! Does anyone know what causes the golden color on the belly? I had caught some 8 - 10 inch browns in some beaver ponds one time on Independence Pass which is at about 10'000 ft. and they had golden color bellies. I had nerver seen that before on a brown and those were the only ones I ever caught with it.
