If you are going to a lodge, they don't want rubber with studs either. You may need un-studded rubber soles.

Ugg. One more reason to get a set of Korker Chrome's with the swap out bottoms. Keep them happy at the Lodge, and keep yourself happy on the river.

I scored a deal on Korkers/Orvis River Guard boots that use the Korker system to swap out the soles. Still on sale for $99. Scored mine of $89 with a coupon.

Korkers Interchangeable Riverguard Ultralight -- Orvis
