Default Re: Small Trout Religion?

I love small streams. There is something magical about crawling up on a tiny pool, flicking a little dry fly underneath overhanging branches from your knees, and watching a little torpedo race toward your fly. I've caught fish that were legal to keep in steams so small that hikers laughed at me when they saw my fishing rod.

The right rod makes all the difference. I have a 6'6" 2wt that casts dry flies like a whisper and will nearly bend in half under the weight of a 8 inch brookie.

Plus, with a setting like this and fish this beautiful, how could anyone resist? Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.
