Question Fishing Mysis Shrimp Out Side Colorado?

I few years ago I did quite well fishing Mysis Shimp in CO tailwaters. I'm curious if Mysis are somewhat unique to CO tailwater or if they are a tailwater staple around the country?

They are in the Great Lakes and other deep lakes in the area. Wisconsins Green Lake for example.

I use them all winter long below Palisades Dam on the South Fork of the Snake River here in Idaho.

Alot of guys fish them in winter here for steelhead.
