Going Local

Jumped onto a local water I seldom visit because, though it's only 8 miles away by line of sight, it's a 2 hour drive in reality.

Beautiful day with temps in the 70's, water temps in the low 50's, and fine dry fly action. It's what Autumn creekin' should be. Even better, I got to enjoy a fine pre-release IPA from Beachwood Brewery, courtesy of my buddy, Shane, who works there. Here's some highlights...















Retrospectively, I should visit more often. All in all, a great day. With winter approaching, there won't be many like it to come.

im not sure how far some are willing to drive to catch some trout on day trips but to me it looks to be a worthy investment of your time, kudos

I'd kill to have water like that within a 2hr drive! Il Wi, I drive around 5 hrs one way nearly every weekend to fish a couple hours on Saturday evenings and maybe a few hours Sunday afternoon

Haha. True, I should take a drink of 'shut the eff up' given that it's shut down for many in the northern areas. That's one good thing about living down this way. Fall and winter is prime time.
