No I would not be a part of that, It's the same at junction pool. I find it remarkable that people do find that enjoyable enough to participate in it, not me. I understand, if that is all that is available then the allure of opening day loses it's luster, but I'll go a few miles away or to a different river system and enjoy my day.

My opening day strategy (April 1 in NY, April 15 in VT) is to wait until May when the water doesn't look like a chocolate milkshake and at least half of the wingnuts are done for the year.
