Ive thought about the Holsten i went with the watauga because i liked the look of the river when i went by it one time, nothing more than that. i went by the holsten later that day and it just looked a little off. These are just first impressions of someone driving through, i did like the look of these fisheries enough to put the watauga for my choice. Obviously if i was there again i would fish them both.

My initial response would have been the Catskill Region of New York, but since you mentioned summer specifically... your options would be limited (and the classic mayfly hatches finished for the most part).

Are you driving or flying? Might want to think about heading West (way west).

If you do wind up making it to NC shoot me a PM and we can try hit the river together. There's some good fishing down here!
