First Trout Caught

Well the day has come and I have caught my first trout ever. It was a small 12'' Brookie. I was using my 9 wt for Atlantics and had a 1/0 Mickey Finn on so I didn't even realize I had caught it until I went to cast and saw it on the line. I am looking more forward to my trout trip now with my 5 wt. Sorry there is no picture as my phone was deep in my waders.

Congratulations,

12" is not too small for a brook trout. Hope he didn't kill himself on the 1/0 fly.

Way to get started,

Ard

I'll be trying for some sea runs tomorrow before work. People are pulling in some good sized (20-24'') sea run brook trout right by my office this week.
