Default how's the fishing looking on the Kinni in wisconsin?

Gonna be out that way fishing next weekend, a long way from home (maine) and was told this is the place to go. Just wondering how it is shaping up, a little worried the runoff is gonna make it a bit high. Any suggestions on where to fish and what they like?

Can't say specifically on the Kinni, although according to USGS Current Conditions for USGS 05342000 KINNICKINNIC RIVER NEAR RIVER FALLS, WI it appears that it is just above average. You should be alright next weekend. Just hope that the area doesn't receive any more rain. Gray Caddis will be the most likely hatch that you'll encounter.

I don't fish the Kinni, but there is plenty of public access along it's entire length. You'll probably want to get there early, as that is a real popular destination for people from MPLS/St. Paul.

The Fly Angler in Blaine, MN usually has pretty decent updates on the fishing conditions on the Rush/Kinni. Give them a call or stop in and talk to them for the info.

I will be really upset if I find out you didn't knock on wood after saying this and it snows next week.
