Beautiful photos and a wonderful write up. Fishing in the winter can be incredibly rewarding, looks like you had one of those days. Hopefully your son finishes strong and the two of you get more time on the river very soon.

We're getting unseasonably warm temps here over the next 4 days with significant rain. I'm hoping that gives my river a flush so I can get out there at least one more time before the end of the year.

Nice! I feel your pain, its supposed to be nice today so Im going to hit the half frozen pond again and see what I can catch. Which will probably be nothing, wont be on a real stream until January.
