See Post #18 above.

Glad you concur. We now have two votes for the B'head.

Zardos, how do you know that the river is in the Idaho/Montana border area?

First off I think that this is a guided trip on a private section of water. I am pretty sure I know where it is, but where I am thinking is not on the border of Idaho and Montana. So if it has to be in those areas, then I am wrong.

How do you know it's on the Montana/Idaho border? It kind of looks like the Owyhee, but that's on the wrong border of Idaho.

Definately not the Owhyee. The Owhyee is a volcanic rock canyon. Plus the river has a different structure to it. Long pools and short riffles or runs.

For the record, I do know what river it is and where it is. Nobody is even close so far.

It's not the Beav.
It's not that other thing I think a couple of you might be thinking it is.
I don't think it's in Montana.

This is an entertaining thread. But I also don't care to watch brown trout suffocating.

I don't know the Beaverhead very well but that isn't it. The rock formations make me think of a certain river in central MT.

Maybe its on the ID side?

Honestly, No.

Oddly enough depending on which route our friend from France chooses between destinations. There is a strong likely hood he will cross the water in question and do so within a two miles of where the video was taken.

This thread reminds me of the classic Utahonthefly thread about West Fork of the Allred in central Idaho thread. There is a lot of misdirection.

There are three people on this thread that I suspect know what river this is? I wonder how much they are misdirecting folks.

The funny thing is there is a video of these same two dudes where the river is named on line. You just have to know what the river is before you do your search. Kind of a chicken and the egg kind of thing.

Or create a trout stream out of thin air. The fishing on the West Fork of the All red is awesome this time of year.
