Default The Simple Things...

So on my way to one of my bear baits I just happen to have to cross a beautiful brook. I decided to pack the ole fly rod on a bait run the other day.

My number one partner in crime at the bear bait, loaded up & ready to go.

On our way back I took the time to wet some line & see if I could find myself some supper. I hooked & landed 2 fish & that was all I needed, let the dog play around in the water for a bit before we headed to the truck.

Nothing better than fresh trout & fiddleheads for supper, a staple in any New Brunswick household!

For me personally, it's the simple things in life like running the woods & waters with my dog, the ability to pick a few fiddleheads & catch a couple fish for supper. Life is good!

Awesome photos. I agree that the picture of the dog with the fish is frame-worthy!

I thought it turned out pretty good too, not sure how it would turn out as a picture where it was taken with my cell phone. I have a Kraken 2 that should be delivered tomorrow, maybe I'll take my camera & see if I can get a pic with the new reel on!!!
