Default No CO Fishing East of I25

Every time I go north on I25 along the Front Range here in Northern Colorado, I wonder what the trout fishing is like East of I25. I frequently across the St Vrain, Big Thompson, and the Cache la Poudre. I've read about North Platte and Reef which is to have good fishing.

St Vrain is John Gearich's home water. It can be tricky to get down to it though. Lots of cactus and loose rock, and brush. Big Thompson has fish in it, I caught rainbows and browns in it.

Ive only driven out and looked at the Platte North of Longmont and East of I-25. Basically every access point I saw was private land and I have heard it doesn't hold fish out that way. I don't know that for sure, just what I heard.

It's ranch land that is more suitable for antelope hunting than fishing.

Once you're east of I-25 the trout fishing is pretty sucky even on rivers like the Thompson, SP or the St. Vrain. You can still find some trout.....but why even bother when the fishing is so much better west of I-25?
