Default Rain, rain...

Heading for the mountains again with a weather forecast of possible heavy rains and thunderstorms.
Rain is fine with me. Thunder and lightning are another story.
Just started fishing and caught two pretty rainbows.

Then came the flash-bang of lightning/thunder. The flash and bang were less than a second apart, so it was time to leave.

I stopped here, but the water was way too low for any fishing. The rocks on the right in this pool are usually barely visible when the levels are right.

Next close spot was here. By now it was raining hard, but no thunder/lightning.

And the temps are still good, even this late in August.

Lots of pretty little fish. Just beginning to develop their fall colors.

Did I mention it was raining? It was raining.

Paul: Great trip report, photos and fish, thanks for sharing!
Hopefully, we will get some rain today, at least that is what is forecast.

Thanks.

It is when it has a reasonable amount of water.

Right now, it's just too low.

The sediments in this area are amazing. Large boulders to sand in a small creek surrounded by forest. Interesting.

Rain has been reaching Bangor(ME) in very short batches in the last month Paul. Hope there have been more lengthy showers around Moosehead and above...
Will see tomorrow....
