The salmon came out to play today.
They were a little picky. The only top-water thing they even looked at was a Chernobyl Ant. A small one (#12). They ignored bigger ones.
They didn't seem much interested in any of the nymphs that I tried.
Everything other than the Ant was on a streamer.
Several kinds worked - a green and orange one that's supposed to look like a brook trout, a red and yellow that looks like nothing, a black-nosed dace, and one called a Purple Joe (that was the best).
The leaves are getting closer to peak colors. Just one of the reasons I like Fall fishing.
The salmon will get some better color later, too.
Trying to sharpen up my underwater shots. Most people have seen lots of fish in hands.
Also working on the mostly-underwater ones.
