Fishing with indicators

i will have to try to make my own leaders, it sounds very cost effective... what do u recomend on the initail line strenght for tying to the fly line, 10lb 8lb... and when i am done at say 4 lb at the end of the leader should i still tie on a tippet to that... thank you

I am going to say more like at least 15lb at the fly line. Then work your way down. Like maybe: 20" of 15lb, 16" of 12lb, 12" of 10lb., 12" of 8lb., and 24" of 6lb. Just an idea.

thank you... i will give it a try here before long.... but with the 24 inches of 6lb should i still tie a 4x tippet to that i thought someone told me i should do that earlyier in this forum thanks for all the help

Hi mey123,

Before you start tyeing you own leaders you need to learn a little more about it. Take a look at this site for some good information on tyeing your own leaders.
