Default My Dad and I's Last Outing With His Narraration

Too hot, too humid, and the water is too high. After getting cleared to hit the water after six weeks recovering from surgery, I was going come **** or high water... which is exactly what we had.

Right off the bat we get high holed by this bone head. Bad enough he ruined the hole above me but he tromped downstream as far as I could see!

Right then I should have known this was going to be a nature walk instead of a fishing trip.
We saw some of these:

Which led to this sophomoric moment (He's actually a senior).

What an outstanding report. I, too, just went on my first trip since surgery back in June and my two sons accompanied me. We had a blast. Thanks for sharing such a fun day. Keep 'em coming.

Kelly

P.S.: how big was that spider and what species?

Making a mental note to not go to NC, where the spiders are the size of hubcaps!

But great pics and report.

It was a giant carolina wolf spider and was probably between 4 and 4.5 inches in circumference.
