Default A new trout for me!

Since there have been a number of firsts on the boards recently I thought I would add one more. This past weekend I caught my first tiger trout, man what a beautiful fish! I have to say I was and still am in awe of the beauty of this guy! I can't wait to catch some more

They are truly some of the coolest looking fish around. Well done.

did it exhibit "hybrid vigor"? i believe Utah is one of the few states where you can catch one and possibly Nevada.

Yeah, these fish put up a great fight. I have heard reports of guys seeing tigers through the ice at an estimated 26" or so... My local club has an award if you catch one over 22" so I guess that is trophy size here...

They can definitely get big under the right conditions. I know of a remote spot in Utah that has plenty of 20+ inchers. They are tough to catch.
