Do brown trout only grow that big in large rivers?! There are browns in a river near me but the largest I've heard of is in the 4 lb range.

I believe these browns get fat in the Great Lakes and then roll into the creeks, but I could be wrong. There are certainly some hogs that sit in their favored lies year round devouring everything and getting giant, likely the case with that monster that got hauled out of the Truckee that was posted on this forum. THAT was a nice fish.

First brown of the day today, caught on a wet-fly/nymph of my own design. The fly can be seen in the corner of the fish's mouth
