Default Jackson river va

Hello all this is my first post on the site but I have been reading some and am enjoying it. I am planning a thanksgiving weekend trip to the Jackson (Hidden Valley) and was wondering if anyone out there had advice about patterns and sizes for this time of year . thanks.

I would think your best bet would be to call up the local fly shops, or look around on the internet for forums just for virginia fly fishing.

Here are some flyshops that google turned up, that guide on jackson river.

I was up there a little over a week ago and it seems that everyone was having luck with woolly buggers.

I love hidden valley, great place to fish. Are you all just doing a day trip or camping out? My buddy amd I like to hike back past the swinging bridge and camp.

I haven't been up there since this spring, but last fall San Juan Worms did well during this time of year. Did you have any luck?
