They do eat well in this lake. This fish I caught last week was the same length and built exactly like the one pictured above. The net compressed its belly a little making it look slimmer. This pic really doesn't capture how big this fish is. These two could almost be twins.

My biggest Deschutes redside of this years salmonfly hatch. Didnt measure him but my hands are 5" across and 8" long. This guy had a big old neanderthal head and really dark to boot.

Vans and Bassguitarplayer, those are beautiful fish!

I had an excellent day of fishing. It started off with a 24" Rainbow.

About an hour and a half later I landed a 24.5" rainbow.

I waited out a thunderstorm that seemed like it would never end and was rewarded with a 25" rainbow on the first cast. I always try to fish a spot before I wade in which paid off with this fish. It struck at the end of my retrieve in shallow water about 15 feet off shore.

I was hoping each fish would continue to go up in size a half an inch at a time but 15-20 Minutes later I caught the smallest fish of the day. I have never seen a 19" fish as fat as this one.

After another 15-20 minutes I caught this 24" rainbow that was the last fish of the day. It was raining and I was cold and wet so I forced myself to call it a day after about 30 more "last casts".
