This guy might be the fish of my summer. I found him with his back out of the water in 6" of water. He was constantly sipping tiny things, and as soon as my dropper got within range, he rushed it. Biggest rainbow i've taken from the bow.

The pictures dont do him justice, but he's an honest 22".

This rainbow put up a HUGE fight. After I got it off the hook it hung out at my feet for about 5 minutes before taking cover.

BH, those are some great photos. And as far as the pictures not doing that fish justice, he looks pretty big to me! The first photo, whether inadvertently or not, is reminiscent of "tebowing", which made me laugh since I went to college with the guy. There's a hilarious photo of someone tebowing with a permit floating around the interwebs...

So when can I fly up there and go fishing with you? I don't even mind spending my share of time behind the camera!

Crruns, great contribution! But as a first fish, you're screwed as you'll now be jaded That's a great fish!

BH, head on down here whenever you want, the GL action is picking up, huge browns and countless steelhead, and I've got a guest bedroom you're welcome to. Here's just a taste of what you can expect:

That's an average fish for Lake Erie and possibly a wild one to boot (the fins were mostly pristine, despite the split in the tail). And after looking at your last photo, I need to go track down a steelhead-sized measure-net... I wonder if they come with ghost bags...
