Hmmm, I don't have pics of my most recent day out but I do have a video:
I'll post up a few pics when I get on my computer. That fish is not a steelhead no matter how much some of you may think it is.

Here are a few from today. Wanted to get better underwater shots but I was fishing alone and using 7x tippet so netted him as quickly as I could. Thankfully he hung out by my boots for a bit before swimming away so I got some shots even if they weren't lined up very well.

Stuartpengs,

Your photographs are amazing. They could be on the cover of any fishing magazine. Those are works of art. Well done, sir.

That second fish is my largest to date on a dry, a #14 Mercer's Missing Link after I broke off the two Chernobyl Ants in my box. I needed to get back, so that was the last fish of the trip. Beautiful river.

Have lived in Portland, OR for nearly 20 years and finally got to fish on the Metolius River in Central Oregon and caught some redband trout. According to the locals, it is an offshoot of the rainbow trout and are only found in certain parts of Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Regardless, it is a very cool looking fish. They don't get very big but they put up a pretty good fight.

Got to fish the river for 3 days with moderate success with my brother and nephew but on the final hours of our last day, we found the perfect hole and were pulling out fish left and right.

My brother figured out the right combination of tippet and fly and the fish just pounded it. The only downside was that it was raining so hard that we didn't get any photos

We will definitely be going back there again!
