Landed this one on a size 14 caddis just as evening was falling. I heard there was a caddis hatch on this spring creek....I hung around and figured I was in the right spot when 10-15 trout started rising. It was like popping fish in a barrel. There I was 5' above them on a bank and there they were less than 10ft away. It was textbook.

This 21" piggy refused my fly 2 times before it finally gave it a try.

Nearly fell in sliding down the bank to net him while a landowner's dog was above me on the bank threatening to eat me and the fish. Thankfully I netted the fish and scared off the dog on the way up.

It was a catch I'll always remember. I tried for an hour before I started to get some strikes. Another half hour before I landed this.

A shot from last month. Raining cats and dogs. Same spring creek. Different fish. Short but fat. Got this on an olive krystal bugger..

Got a couple on a sub-surface beetle. Really enjoying summer.

Larry that Bow you showed is just beautiful. The Rainbow's on the Crowsnest where I fish have a very similar look with a dense population of spots like that.
