Thought you guys and girls might be interested in seeing a wild english rainbow trout. They are a rare fish over here and only one river system (Derbyshire Wye) really claims to have a self supporting population and most rivers stock non-breeding triploids. This beauitful wildie was my fish of the year 2010 caught in August on a dryfly (size 20 CDC and elk).

Also his slightly smaller shoal mate further up the pool.

Really enjoyed looking at your pics, would love to come and fish some of your rivers at some point!

The second one is from a couple of weeks ago. In Laurel Creek below town on a stonefly I tied up a couple of hours before using it.

Those are some great fish, cochise. The pics are great. Thanks for sharing. No, despite the call to harvest all rainbow trout on the South Fork of the Snake, I still have a tough time doing it. I have taken a few, but that particular fish was so spectacular and a hybrid (meaning it wouldn't interfere with cutthroat spawning) that we released it back to fight another day.

And, thanks to all who have continued to keep this thread alive, I'm sure there are many other pics many of you have to share - keep 'em coming.

Kelly.

Great temps this weekend led to some great fishing but I am looking at a high of -2 for tomorrow.
