Hey All..

We'll be hitting the Trophy section this saturday with three Anglers and hope to put some Trout in the net! We done good last month with Metallic streamers designed by GeorgiaFlyGuide, the water was slightly stained but heard its cleared out. Tight Lines!

Has anyone been fishing this lately, I was told a couple weeks ago that it fished ok, but no big fish were moved or caught.
Im sure its been restocked is it worth the increased fee as of late or is the other local DH water fishing just as good.

Saw a report last week that suggested to wait awhile - the local fly shop told the guys to fish someplace else.

Here is a photo I took from the trophy waters, we saw about 10-15 elk cross the river about 75 yards upstream from here. They were in no hurry, just stood around about 30 mins watching us.

There is a tournament in Cherokee on 3/26-27/16 where you pay $11 and have a chance of catching $20,000 worth of tagged fish. These fish will be scattered all over the reseveration, there season is closed for 2 weeks prior to the tournament.

I believe the Trophy section remains open during that 2 week period.

If you go don't forget to pick up a permit from Rivers Edge Outfitters before fishing the trophy section.

Yeah, REO is guiding there every day, I spoke with Hookers Fly shop yesterday, they are guiding there wide open.
I think we will maybe just avoid the res all together except for stopping in to visit with REO.

I will report back.
