High water, great fishing on the Lower McKenzie (KVAL Eugene)
The river's water levels are 30 to 50 percent higher than historical 75-year averages, which is good news for anglers. The high water offers more cover for fish to hide from predators, provides more bug habitat, and provides a better habitat for juvenile trout, salmon and steelhead.
