Rock Creek is rolling in Montana

If you want to catch 100 native cuts, bows, and browns a day on big dry flies, now is the time on Rock Creek. cfs dropped to 1500, wading is still difficult. The fish are hammering the big bugs #6 salmon fly. I guided the last 3 days up there, been floating about 15 miles a day, mid river and the fishing is exceptional. There are still some log jams and obstructions, including the occasional moose, so be careful floating down it, that is the best way to fish that river at this flow. Green drakes started popping and big golden stones will be next. hope to see you our there
