How do I tye an easy Ant.

Instructions and pictures courtesy of Dryfly Purist.

Imagine your at your favorite water deep inside the forrest.
Of course you have your fly tying gear with you , but you are set for mosquito`s and too your big surprise the water is full of ants and the trout is going berserk.

Oh no, you don`t have any foam or any suitable dubbing for ants.....you only have a piece of polychenille and hackle........well not too worry you are saved

This is what you do, and it only take a few minutes if not a few seconds

Thank`s a lot to Staffan Lindstrøm for teaching me this pattern.

Remember that the back knot is moving, making this ant lively on the water

Terje!
