NORTH SHORE SMELT Another great Jocelin original fly, this smelt pattern is intended for sea run brook trout fishing in the brackish water of the ST Laurence North Shore river estuaries. It has proven throughout the years as a late spring effective searching patterns especially in larger normal size.. ![]() Material Hook - Streamer or similar hook size 2 to 12 Thread - black Tail - squirrel tail Body - silver mylar # 10 ou #12 Rib- gold oval tinsel Throat- White calftail and orange hackle tips Wing- Crystal flash pearl, lateral line peacock herl, White bucktail and purple bucktail and with some peacock sword.
