TOP PICKS LAKE DAVIS - Fishing here is way out of the norm for this time of year. Instead of falling off into the dog days of summer, the rainbow bite was hot for trollers. The damsel hatch was strong, and fly-fishers caught and released big ones. TRINITY RIVER, Douglas City - Salmon fishing improved. Most fish were caught on both roe and a Puffball and Kwikfish.
