It's time to play "Name This Insect"!
This is a bug I have never seen before it appears to be a beetle with iridescent green body and a large red stripe down it's back. It allso has tan legs. It is cricket size and runs like the road runner from the cartoon show. Sorry it does not go beep, beep... good luck trying to stomp it... You'll need it! This bug seems to like the lake shore. I think it would make a good fly???

If you can get a photo of it, post it on this website.. http://whatsthatbug.com and they will give you a positive ID. |

Re: It's time to play "Name This Insect"!
This beetle is very close to what I seen, just add a large red strip and that's the one.

Re: It's time to play "Name This Insect"!
If the large red stripe runs down the middle of the back (front to back) it may actually be just a gap between the wing covers. Sometimes the wing covers part just a little and you see the red wings beneath them.
