Most Exotic Species Caught?
Just wanted everybody to let us know what the most exotic species of fish they've caught. They regional subspecies of trout are absolutley eligible. I've never caught one, but strongly intend to catch a few before I expire.
I've caught Rio Grande Perch (Mexican Cichlid), Tilapia, and one down at the Third Coast I can't recall the title of. RGP's are quite picky as to what flies they will take, but not as picky as Tilapia. Gotta love South Texas! Seen RGP's as far north as Wimberly though.

Well they're not very "EXOTIC" but mine would be the Westlope Cutthroat. This one was caught at the confluence of Young's Creek and the Flatthead River about 20 miles deep into the Bob Marshall Wilderness of Western Montana.

Nothing fancy shamancy here. It would have to be a Greyling I caught in the Uinta Mountains in Utah.

andy g. sure will be nice to have you back on american soil again. it'll be even better once all of our men and women are back safe and sound on american soil.
as for the post nothing exotic here in indiana. just nice size bluegills. and one lost pike on sunday on a spinning rod for my partner.

I've always wanted to catch an Apache trout ... that's a rare bird and a trophy.
I suppose my best catch was my second wife ... I nailed her with a Silver Doctor fished from my 10/11 Mega, Horse. Played her with a very light drag and allowed her to sulk for days before bringing back on top... It was a nice catch although there are times when I wished I had left her hanging at dockside from the big game hook...

I have caught Grayling and Apache trout.
Cnt say much for the Apaches, they are beautiful, but they fight like logs. man am I missing AZ.
