The eyes are failing and the fingers don't do what they did! Are there any small clips to attach flies to the leader. I change flies some what and have trouble tying the leader to the fly on the water. Old age is not for the faint at heart. Need help. Thanks Don

if you look around at any good sporting good store you should find what is called a snap hook. they come in 3 different sizes and work really good. i use them most of the time.(don't like tying flies on) give them a try think you'll like them. and yes they do allow a dry fly to float.

I watched an old man on the stream a few days ago who had leaders already tied to the flies, and simply switched leaders. Seems a bit pricey to have 1 leader per fly, but he was plugging along.

Many years ago when the World was young and the Druids still worshiped at Stonehenge, flies were apt to be snelled to a piece of relatively strong 6-inch mono that was finished with a loop.

Why we stopped this practice is something I will never understand ... It is a great way to prerig several setups that save lots time at streamside when changing out flies using the time proven loop-to-loop connection.

The Orvis box seems perfect to me for storing these rigs ... I bought two and both are filled.
