Nymph Fishing Book

Greetings,
I am looking for a good book on "nymph fishing". I have looked around a little and found there are quite a few out there. I was hoping to get some recommendations from some of you.
I'm looking for one on nymph fishing technics mainly, versus one with just fly tying patterns.
Thanks,
Yukon Jack

Re: Nymph Fishing Book

Books by Larry Tullis, Daves Hughes and Gary Borger are good.

I especially like Nymp Fishing for Larger Trout, a classic by Charles Brooks, though he was writing before indicators were used. He describes many ways to fish different situations, and he has a wealth of info on water hydraulics.

I also like Active Nymphing by Rich Osthoff. He thinks outside the box, but doesn't write about fishing tandem rigs (which I don't fish). His book is filled with practical info, like how to put on and take off split shots.

All the above are excellent suggestions. Charles Brooks (?), I think that was his name. He was in the Air Force and was stationed in Alaska for years who really enjoyed nymph fishing. He was an avid fly fisher and wrote some good books on the subject.

Oops, I see Mr Brooks name has already been mentioned--my apology.

Re: Nymph Fishing Book

I recently purchased 2 from Amazon

Active Nymphing by "Rich Osthoff" lots of fly fishing geeky detail

and

Fishing Tandem Flies "Charles Meck" nice book

Both are advanced tactics and I got a lot out of them. I use them now as reference when I get back home to see if I could have changed a few things on the river.
