Old rods
Hey guys, this is my first post so I suppose I should introduce myself before I go any further. My name is Ben and I just got started with fly fishing about a month ago. I went out and got myself a new rod and reel and all the fixins. Now, some of my family (Uncles and Grandpas) are digging out all of their old rods and reels and just giving them to me. The two that I've got so far are glass rods that seem to be healthy enough to fish with again. Anyway, the rod my Grandpa gave me is a two piece, 8' 6" and that sucker is stuck fast at the joint, and I mean its stuck. The connection is aluminum, so I've tried heating it, oil and pliers (with leather), all to no avail. Any suggestions on how to get it apart.
Thanks a bunch, Ben |
