I concern with Orvis CFO.Which model is older ?
Orvis CFO I - Spring-and-Pawl Or
Orvis CFO 123 Disc Drag ?
And how many cost first and second ?

The first Orvis CFO reels were likely click-and-pawl, with the disc drag reels being developed later. I know that even recently, they sold both click-and-pawl versions of the reel at the same time they sold the disc drag versions. While they were both being manufactured, I believe the click/pawl version cost slightly less than the disc version, but I'm not sure by what amount, or what either one is worth or sells for today.

I like reel like Anti antiqe,and i think that reel is best.

Sounds like you got a handle on it. The bad thing is, is that the Spring/pawl and the disc were both being made at the same time, but Cliff is right about the first being the Spring/Pawl. Just real hard to tell which were made by Hardy and which by BFR.And yes, they were less expensive than the disc, but again....if you got one of those Hardy's...WAHOO!

That is an excellent reel. I've had one for 16 years and it is still as good as new.

I long think whether reel that buy.I think that dont miss.I hawe very much House o. H. reels but none Orvis.
I dont like new series reels who price very quickli fall and afterwards year nobody refer.The best is verified. ( I think)
