Silk Line treatment
Hi Guy,s. I have just got hold of a fine Hardy Perfect and it came with a full spool of a waxed line. It looks like it is braided but I can not tell as it is quite gummed up with what looks and feels like a wax substance. I have cast the line and although it is very old it still cast quite well with a plastic 6wt rod. Can someone tell me how I would clean this line and re treat it for fishing?

I liked the color (goes great with cane) but not the performance. I'm thankful that they have been making vinyl coated line at Cortland since I was born or darn close to it. |
