Re: This is what I need

That would be sweet! 2 big shortcomings for me would be the obvious casting challenge, and it needs too long of a run to establish lift for some of the little honey hole ponds in these parts. I'll wait for the turbo model with the pop up rails that convert the wing into a casting platform

Re: This is what I need

But how would you register it. Hang glider or raft?

Re: This is what I need

In NH, the "Tax Free State", we would probably have to register it as three things - aircraft, motor boat, and something they would make up to account for it being both on top of that... and don't even ask what that might cost! Two bikes, two cars, and a boat/trailer cost me more to register per year than they do to insure with low ded. and a lot of extra coverage on the boat and bikes for gear and accessories....

We get taxed, uh, I mean we pay reg. fees every year based on value... it's an OK fed. tax deduction, but it would still be cheaper to live in many other states and pay a legit tax on the purchase and $50/year to register. In March I have to pay the annual insurance premium of $862 for all 5, in April I'll have to pay a little less than $1044 (what we paid last year) for registration. And in May, we have our fifth season here, Mud.

I'll still take one if you want to give it away though!

Re: This is what I need

They have to make up for the lack of income and sales tax somehow... when you really drill down, regardless of which state, they getcha one way or another.

Not sure I could bring myself to actually fly a raft... what happens if you get a flat in flight?
