Re: What Reel and Line?

Thanks to all for the great advice. I have found several reels and lines on eBay that have been recommended here and that will fit into my budget.

This is a fantastic site. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Re: What Reel and Line?

I bought Pflueger trion and that is wery smooth reel for around $ 60 and put on it a Rio Outbound shooting line and can cast way to endless with it and it is also cheap with a loop on it.

But Pflueger Trion is a wery nice good quality reel for that prise with very smooth drag and a good brake to fight with big ones.

Re: What Reel and Line?

Ok guys, here's what I ended up with.

Rod - Sage Launch 9' 5wt. 2pc - $100 Bob Marriots
Reel - Pflueger Supreme (used) - $31 eBay
Line - Orvis Trout Gen. 3 DT5 - $23 eBay

Total Cost - $164.00

Well within my budget. I even have enough left for a vest.

All of your suggestions really helped. Thanks.

Re: What Reel and Line?

I would say you did pretty good for yourself...good rod (I have the 6 wt Launch and really like it), good line and a serviceable reel... for a very reasonable investment. Good fishing
