Spring Creek in Central Pennsylvania

I'm fairly new to fly fishing and wondering if anyone knows about Spring Creek in Central PA. If you could help me out with any information about Spring Creek, such as when to fish what flies, I'd appreciate it. If you know any specific patterns please let me know. Thanks.

Re: Spring Creek in Central Pennsylvania

Spring Creek is one of Central Pa's prime streams. There are basically 3 branches that can be fished. The Paradise is one. Flies are posted on the Flyfishers Paradise forum and it's also worth visiting bothe the site and the shop. There are some friendly guys who will help you out and have a great selection of flies for all the local streams. the shop is located in State College and is close the big mall. Wading is also good there and you have to work for the fish which are nice size. A liitle too cold right now to fish, but the weather does change. Call the guys at the shop and they can fill you in. Re: Spring Creek in Central Pennsylvania

I went to school at Penn State and only fished once or twice. I wasn't really into it then, regretting that now! Have a great time in a beautiful part of the state.

Re: Spring Creek in Central Pennsylvania

Spring Creek is great. Here is some info i found. My family has a camp at PennState but i've never fished it. There are several other good streams up there as well so i would check some others out.
