awesome! keep it up! never caught anything that big except great lakes steel and prolly not even half that size. 8 or so lbs at most

I do not know about best in the world but it is an awesome rod with great balance and feel. Loads real easy and nice.

Hell of a fish man!

Must have been quite a tug-o-war to get that in in 20 min. I landed a similar flat on tired 6lb mono on a spin rod and I didn't land it that quick.

Was fishing a small tributary of the Red River last week and this is what I came up with. Totally unexpected, especially on a 6 weight.

Stu, that is still a hell of a nice fish! I would be happy with any channel cat on a fly rod. The biggest fish I have caught on the fly is a 15" largemouth, but I have hooked a catfish and a carp, broke them both off on 4x fishing for gills.
