Las Moras Creek....

Is a small freshwater creek that runs through Ft Clark Springs in Brackettville Texas. I usually go flyfishing there to work on my cast, catch small bluegill or even smaller LM bass....

Never once expected to catch anything larger than the occaisional bluegill.

Tonight I was out workin with the 5wt, trying to get used to some new Bluesky leaders and I was rewarded with a 7lb 18.25 inch large mouth.....using a weedless peeper frog.....

The cool thing being that all the small bass eventually grow up to be big bass, and this creek has no shortage of small ones, and now apparently a few larger ones....

Im pretty darn happy.......

Bruce

Geez man! That's an enormous bass for a small creek in that area. Good work!

Hi Bruce,

That is awsome. You did good. I hope you catch it again when it grows up.
