New to bass fishing

My son and I are interested in what ya'll use to catch bass. Top water or under water. My son has caught a bass on a "Miss Prissy", so now we are both hooked on bass fishing but we need a little guidence.

Clousers, muddlers, and flies with rabbit strips on them tend to work well on bass for me. Might help to fish flies with weedguards on them as well, due to Bass' tendency to live in thick salad.

Up here in good old Manitoba most every flyfisherman will use something different. I've narrowed it down to 2 flies. 1) A popper usually in white or yellow and a DDH Leech in brown, black, or olive. Went out last Sunday with my son, Kevin, and caught a hockey sock full of Smallies. This is what the DDH Leech looks like.
