Smokies Advice?

Just started fishing the GSMNP and was just wondering what success people have had, and what patterns seem to be the most effective around this time. I fish the eastern side (Cataloochee Creek Area), and I am not so much having the success I'm used to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Smokies Advice?

I am from Michigan and I fly fished an average of 40 hours every week last year (all 52 of them) while working full time and staying married with 3 kids. I recently relocated to knoxville and have yet to fish. Primarily due to the fact I do not like to fish new water alone and do not have a clue about cold water freestone rivers. If you are interested in hooking up let me know.

Re: Smokies Advice?

I think you shoudl find another stream, one that has tons of fish in it- and go crazy. Of course I always just take home what I can eat and then release the rest
